About Brendan
Brendan McNamara is a member of the Casting Directors Association (CDA) and has worked in the industry for over 20 years.
Having served his apprenticeship at Hubbard Casting, working on projects as diverse as ‘The Bourne Supremacy’ and ‘Omagh’, Brendan went on to gain wider experience through a number of freelance roles across advertising, music video and online content casting briefs.
In 2007 Brendan created ‘Beach Casting’ and the company has gone from strength with his passion for finding talent remaining undimmed – resulting in 2 gongs at the inaugural CDA Awards and a D&AD Wooden Pencil. He believes in close collaboration, responding in a timely manner and making the process enjoyable for all involved. Author of the book ‘It’s the audition, stupid’ and proud Limerick man his ethos is simple, ‘Work hard. Help others. Take a moment to enjoy success.’
Brendan is also the author of It’s the Audition, Stupid!
